Data-Driven Firearm Component Testing

Have a barrel, muzzle brake, suppressor, stock, or other firearm component you need independently tested? APD offers professional end-to-end component testing services using our precision measurement systems — delivering objective, data-driven results you can trust. Whether you want to measure the effect your component has on recoil, analyze the stress and strain a component experiences during firing, or measure pressure within a component, our team handles everything: we instrument your components with strain gages, conduct all testing in-house, and compile the results into a full report along with the raw data files. Whether you’re a manufacturer validating a new product, a consumer comparing configurations, or a government agency requiring documented performance data, we deliver everything you need — typically within a week. We have numerous test platforms including but not limited to 6.5 CM with 5/8-24 threaded muzzle, AR-10 with 5/8-24 threaded muzzle and adjustable gas block, AR-15 with 1/2-28 threaded muzzle.

How It Works (3 steps):

  1. Submit a Request — Fill out the form below with your component details and testing goals. We’ll follow up with a quote and shipping instructions.
  2. Ship Your Components — Send your components to our facility in Bloomington, MN. We’ll confirm receipt and schedule your test.
  3. Receive Your Results — Once testing is complete, we’ll return your components along with a detailed data report and raw data files.

All testing is performed using APD’s proprietary Recoil-IQ and Bullet-IQ measurement systems. Your components are handled with care and returned after testing.
